Every Quimbaya fragrance is prepared with care before it begins its journey. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped and delivered, together with the responsibilities of both Quimbaya and our customers.

By placing an order through our website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out below.

 



Order Processing

 

Orders are processed after full payment has been successfully received.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 to 3 business days, excluding weekends, Dutch public holidays and periods of exceptionally high demand.

If additional processing time is required, this will be clearly communicated on the relevant product page, during checkout or in your order confirmation.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information where available.

 



Delivery

 

Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only and should not be regarded as guaranteed delivery dates.

Delivery times may vary depending on the destination country, customs procedures, local postal services and the selected shipping method.

While we work with trusted shipping partners, occasional delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including customs inspections, transportation disruptions, severe weather, public holidays or other unforeseen events.

 



Shipping Destinations

 

Quimbaya ships to selected destinations worldwide where the transportation of alcohol-based fragrances is permitted.

Because international shipping regulations for perfume may change, available destinations and shipping methods may occasionally be modified without prior notice.

If we are unable to fulfil an order because shipment to a particular destination is prohibited or restricted, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

 



Shipping Costs

 

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on the delivery destination, parcel weight, shipping method and applicable carrier rates.

The total shipping cost will always be displayed before you complete your purchase.

 



Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

 

Orders shipped outside the Netherlands or outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees or other local government charges.

These charges are determined by the authorities of the destination country and remain the sole responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout.

Quimbaya has no control over customs procedures, import regulations or the fees imposed by local authorities and cannot reimburse these costs.

 



Shipping Restrictions

 

Perfume contains alcohol and is classified as a regulated product for transportation in many countries.

As a result, certain destinations, shipping methods or carriers may be unavailable.

Where legal restrictions, airline regulations, customs requirements or carrier policies prevent shipment after an order has been placed, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

 



Shipping Address

 

Please ensure that your delivery address is complete and accurate before placing your order.

We cannot be responsible for delays, failed deliveries, additional shipping charges or returned parcels resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information provided during checkout.

If a parcel is returned because it was refused, unclaimed or addressed incorrectly, additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be dispatched again.

 



Delivery Responsibility

 

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the order has been delivered to the delivery address provided during checkout.

If tracking confirms successful delivery but the parcel cannot be located, we recommend first checking with members of your household, neighbours or your local delivery office before contacting us.

We will gladly assist where possible, but cannot accept responsibility for parcels that have been confirmed as delivered by the carrier unless otherwise required by applicable law.

 



Shipment Delays & Lost Parcels

 

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us at hello@quimbaya.com.

We will open an investigation with the shipping carrier where appropriate.

A shipment will only be considered lost once the carrier has completed its investigation or has officially confirmed that the parcel cannot be located.

Where a customer is legally entitled to a remedy, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law.

 



Damaged or Incorrect Orders

 

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible and preferably within 48 hours of delivery.

Please email hello@quimbaya.com and include:

  • your order number;
  • a brief description of the issue;
  • photographs of the outer shipping box;
  • photographs of the product;
  • photographs showing any visible damage.

Please retain both the product and all original packaging until your claim has been reviewed.

Where a claim is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law, which may include a replacement, refund or another suitable remedy.

 



Force Majeure

 

We are not responsible for delays or failure to deliver where such delays result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, customs inspections, natural disasters, severe weather, transportation disruptions, industrial action, pandemics, governmental restrictions, supply chain interruptions or failures affecting third-party logistics providers.
